When I shutdown-restart my Windows XP, it just shuts down. This has only been happening for about a week. Before it was restarting just fine.

There are a number of 'features' in XP that I always want to change or disable when installing a new system that require editing registry values (disabling the irritating 'balloon help' or 'tooltips' and increasing the number of Recent Documents are two that spring to mind).

I had to format the hardrive on my laptop and reload XP. All went well until I tried to use the media player and there was no sound. I checked in 'Device Manager" and no driver. Can someone tell me where I can get the driver?
