With Microsoft Works ( Windows XP Home Edition) I save a file , say xyz and
then with Search I look for xyz.
Search runs and reports xyz cannot be found!
What am I doing wrong?

This is a little off topic. But when I disconnect the power, I loose the
CMOS settings. Shouldn't the battery on the MB prevent this? Is the battery
likely dead?

My understanding is that Vista will have flashier graphics, which of course
demand flashier hardware to support it.  Will Vista allow one do disable
those features and run with a more prosaic interface for those who don't

Recently when turning off my computer a warning came up saying that
other people were logged on to my computer and if i turned it off they
might lose unsaved information. Does this mean other people are hacking

reasons that should be obvious), I've edited the path in the 'Target folder
location' filed under My Documents/properties to the folder where my
documents are actually kept.  This makes it much more useful ...

Currently, when I open MSWord for example, then go on to open a file, I am
presented with the "My Documents" file. I then have to scroll to the Word
documents line, and click that. Is there a way to cut out this, what seems

I just replaced my PC and dumb as it sounds I can't remember how I got my
.icl libraries to show in windows explorer. Only shows blocks asking what to
open them with. My old PC just showed the icons in the library.
What am I missing? (Just chalk it up to old age)

I am having a problem that when I go to a site example fordcares.com and want
to click on store, it comes up but when I click on an item to look at, it
will not allow me.  I have turned off the pop blocker to see if that would
help and it doesn't.  This is not the only site this ...
