Have just installed I.E. 7, and now, after using the mouse wheel for scrolling I get four more lines one after the other every time I stop the scroll! Is this oddity normal? It's damn irritating!

If I click on the rigyht hand side of my desktop the programms that are running sem to close i.e. they are not on the taskbar. If I then change the resolution settings from 1024 x 768 to 800 x 600 I will see my Outlook Express again and I then put it back to 1024 x 768 but

I am shopping to buy xp pro, full, retail. I see a product code starting with E85-. Does that mean anything to the buyer or is a microsoft internal code? I don't want to end up with a promotional or academic copy. 336ldunn

A club member, Windows XP SP2 and all updates, says that 6 or 8 times a day, no matter which program he is running, a box opens that says: "The instruction at "0xO1ac397e" referenced memory at "0x01d8c3e8" the memory could not be read.

On my screen from Windows it says my computer is "Locked" and only I or the administrator can unlock it. There is no administrator, this is my personal laptop and I use at home. The operating system is Windows XP Professional on IBM laptop purchased in 2003.

My daughter messed up my wife Windows XP screen set up and it's driving her crazy and she's driving me crazy. The toolbar at the bottom of the desktop is about twice as thick as it should be and cannot be shrunk by grabbing it and dragging it down a bit.

I've just got a new laptop which has come with "User" already set up. I know I can change the name on screen but that doesn't change the name in Explorer file listings, i.e. under "Documents and Settings" it will still show as "User". Is there an easy way to change it?

My husband has a separate account on our computer. I use it for work and therefore have many icons. Whenever my husband logs into his account, my icons get moved around. I've tried locking/unlocking/aligning to grid/everything I can think of. Is there any way to prevent this ...

Is there no newsgroup yet about I.E.7. I would like to get familiar with the problems related to it, before switching over. My son had ...I.E.7... installed and his computer simply shut down. Thanks for the info.

A friend of mine has recently upgraded his XP to a genuine version but upon install he gets to the accept terms stage and has to hit f8 to accept, however the f8 key is non responsive. Any ideas how to make it respond or what to do will be gratefully received

My sister has four computers that she is planning to upgrade to Vista and Office 2007 (they're all compatible). She'd like to know the most economical route to get the software. She could go to Amazon.com and spend $$$$, or she could go to the M$ volume licensing, or what else?
