Any ideas why when either rebooting or just starting it up, that the internet isn't autoconnecting? I always have to go to the start button & select "connect to".

My apologies for what seems to me a simple question. Is there any way to copy a document folder from my main C:\ drive to an external F:\ hard drive (as a backup copy) that does not involve recopying every single file in the document folder?

I have a folder containing a bunch of shortcuts that point all over my hard drive to various files. I would like to copy the files pointed to (NOT the shortcut files themselves) to a folder on a CD. Is there a way in XP, file manager, or some utility I can use to do this?

I'm having this problem with a PC... The problem is, the PC logs off whenever any user tries to log on. This has been happening ever since someone inserted a VCD into the PC, which had some autorun application written to it, just for the sake of preventing it from being copied.
