I have tried setting Folder View to always show Details, but it keeps
changing to Icons.
How do I set All folders to always show Details?

As long as I can remember, I have not  been able to check the spelling in
outlook express.  I just get a "An error has occured while the spelling was
being checked".  Any ideas on how to fix this?

My PC was turned off without shutting down. Now the blue screen always
appears to do an file system check unless you cancel it.
I let it do it but on step 3 it seems to crash all the time.
How can i stop this from happening.

After copying everything from an old computer [that admittedly already had
duplicate files on it], files from my office CPU and a bunch of photo CD's
laying around, I know I have multiple copies of the same files throughout my
new computer.

At Documents and Settings-->User Name-->Local Settings, I have a  subfolder
named: Temp.
In it, there is another subfolder named: "Temporary Internet Files", which
in turn contains another subfolder named: "Content. IE5".

Running Windows XP pro. When I right click in window area then NEW, I do
not get "compressed (zipped) folder appearing as an option.  Is this
something that has to be installed? Or is something wrong here?

I have managed to put the start toolbar at the right hand side of my page
rather than at the bottom.  I have no idea how I did it or how to fix it.

I have two hard drives, and the XP installation on one of the drives
crashed.  I tried everything I could to salvage it, but eventually gave
up and reinstalled on another disk. (Drive H).  But even though one of
the installations doesn't work I still get a dual boot situation, ...

another computer to work on it.  I was able to open the file, work on
it but when I tried to save it I got a "read-only" message and was not
