In the past, I could drag the scroll bar on the right and the document
would move with it. For some reason, now it doesn't. I know I can scroll
with the wheel, but I'd like the scroll bar to work.

I had a fairly small JUNK.TXT file with ASCII data.
I happen to delete the file, but I wanted to know how
that file is kept in the Recycle Bin, since another file
with the same name is kept in the Recycle Bin also.

Over the past year start up and shutdown of the windows xp operating system
has become very slow (like 3 to 4 minutes slow). Tried removing the junk from
the start menu and doing all the normal things to improve performance but to

I switched to XP from ME recently, and have never used my PC with different
user profiles.  I set this one up with three profiles, with mine as the first
one (administrator?)  I've been reinstalling software and now realize that
it's not available in the other profiles.

I am running with Windows XP Media Center  Edition. I have connected an
external hard drive to my desktop using a USP port. When I look at My
Computer the external hard drive is shown as drive G.
I now go to Start > All programs > Accessories > System Tools > Backup.

Is there a way to make Windows XP (SP2) remember the folder settings on
a flash drive?  It remembers my folder settings just fine on the C
drive, but on a removable flash drive.  I've tried (I think) everything
within the "Folders" option in the control panel, with no luck.

is there a way of loading the graphics driver/display driver  in safe mode
so as to have the benefit of a better screen -- whilst leaving all else in
safe mode.
