I have been given a computer which has got 75gb harddrive and 960 mb
installed memory. The hard disk is partitioned and one part has got

At the back of my PC I have 6 jacks. Only 2 of these jacks autodetect.
Therefore allowing me to only use 2 devices.

I have a problem with an XP Pro PC - sometimes after creating a new

A friend has a CPQ laptop.  It has a strange feature running on it.
When you merely drag the cursor TO a 'close' or 'minimize'  icon on a
window, it ACTS as if you have clicked on the item..
And closes the window WITHOUT actually clicking on it.

just got a new computer. for some reason when i change the wallpaper to
a photo windows keeps going back to a solid color.
this has never happened before on any other computer i've ever had.

I installed and tried STOPZilla and now that I don't want to use it any
longer I can't uninstall it.  I tried using the uninstall feature of this
application and also from XP in the add/remove area.  Nope.  It says it

Hi- I'd like to be able to use certain photos, of animals, as my wallpaper.
However, although I can normally work out the size of the photo to work
properly, I cannot get the resolution right.  The photo ordinarily appears
blocky-too few pixels I think.  I have Microsoft Picture ...

Windows is corrupt and therefore cannot pick up on my external
cd-rom...I need the external (connected via USB) b/c the internal is
broken. I want to re-install windows, but since the comp wont recognize
the external cd-rom, when I reboot it just comes back into the messed

I am thinking of installing Windows Live OneCare in place of Zone Alarm (I
have XP).  Would that be a good move?  Someone said Word wouldn't work when
OneCare was installed. Could that be?  Any special advice about this move?
