I still have not found a solution to the problem of the start menu
picture (Picture next to your name on the Start Menu)disappearing. We
have three computers running XP. As of yesterday only one of the
computers was displaying the picture. Today no computers are displaying

My DVD-R Drive is a UJ-820S drive and it will not work.  The drive does not

I am trying to write a batch file to delete all files older than one hour
within a folder.
Because of some restriction, I cannot use any 3rd party tool.
What would be the most efficient MSDOS batch file to that?

I'm running Windows XP Pro (SP2) and have always used Windows' Backup
Utility without a problem.  For the last week or so, however, it hasn't
worked.  It will start a backup, then quit, saying "Completed with skipped
files".

Please please help me...my dad thinks I'm a pc genious.  I know how to turn
it on  lol.  His pc keeps freezing up.  When he turns it on this comes up
"mat cli client started" then it disappears.  It won't let him defrag.  When

I have a color deficiency which means when I select colors from a set I
am not sure what color it is.  Can anyone tell me where I can access a
color table where I can enter the color I want (say silver) and get the
4 digets associated with that color. At least I think it is 4 ...

All my drop down boxes have suddenly become transparent.  After I select a
heading (for example: Edit) I have to scroll my mouse down over area where
drop down info should be in order to read contents.  How do I fix this?

OE says the message is no longer available on the server.  It then
displays
them as items in the Inbox, but with a line drawn through each of them.
Does anyone know why this would happen, and how to correct the problem?

Re Safe Mode :  I had my computer out for repair and when returned I was
unable to get in safe mode.

Hi, some of my jpgs are not opening... I'm getting a file error... that's
all it says just "file error"... I looked online to find a solution and
found something that told me to edit the registry.. but I'm not comfortable
with editing the registry unless I get instructions from ...

I have two Fry's Great Quality (HAH!) computers whose DVD/CR-RW drive
plays a CD just fine but cannot read a DVD. Short of taking the box
apart, I cannot determine the manufacturer of the drive. The driver
disk that came with the computer doesn't have anything for this drive.
