This is the fourth time I have tried to post this???
Need to eleminate some of the programs that run on startup.
How do I find them and keep them from starting up.

I seems that I have some how lost my "Show Desktop" icon in the Quick Launch
Menu on the bottom left of the screen.  Any idea how to get it back.

Please help me.
I have a zip program instaled in my Win XP and the zipped files appear as
though they were folders. When I click on one of these files I can see the
files inside it and work on them.

I want to lock down my pc. I only want to have one account (the administrator
account). I do not want anybody else to be able to set up an account. How do

Just out of curiosity
I leave my system on 24/7.  After a day, or so, I cannot connect to the
internet nor to my news server.  So, I reboot and all is well.  Does anyone
have a plausable explaination ??  TIA

Used to be with telstra bigpond in Australia and had something like 30,000
different newsgroups. I cant seem to remember the address but i think it had
something to do with Usenet? If someone knows how i can access the more
popular newsgroups please let me know.

click on the icon - click on Properties -click on Change Icon - Click on the

I want to lock down my computer so the only account that can exist is the
