I have some hearing difficulties.  Is there a way to increase the maximum
audio volume on my computer BEYOND the volume controls on my computer.  I
would like loader audio so I can more clearly hear the sound while watching
a film clip, movie, or to listening to music?  All help ...

Tune Up Utilities cannot complete a scan because this file is missing. This
problem occurred after the latest Windows updates on June 13, 2006.  Scans
with two different anti virus programs find no viruses. Where can I download

I was setting up a laptop for my daughter (she was desperate) and put in an
odd name for the registration name thinking she would not see it again and

Have a purchased/registered copy of AVG for virus protection. Been running
it for a couple of months. All of a sudden, I cannot accesst the "AVG
Control Center" to change settings or stop the automatic scanning that slows

When I'm using Windows Explorer I have to click on a window to shift the
focus of the scroll button on my mouse to that window. On my old 98SE
all I had to do was move the mouse pointer to the window and the focus
followed. I didn't have to click to change the focus. I'm using a

When  I was running Win98SE, I often sent a test email to myself.  Now with
XP, it won't let me.  I've "googled"  the error message and it seems to be
common....they don't want me to send to me.  Any way to do it?

I have about 5 users on my family computer.(asus laptop, XP SP2)
However, after leaving the computer for 10 minutes say for a coffee the
current account is logged out and it returns to the login screen. Is

I would like to use the filmstrip option to view pictures in a folder, but
in "my pictures," on the "view" menu I find options for thumbnails, tiles,
icons, list, and details.
But no option to activate the "filmstrip" option.

Windows Explorer failing to launch, no icons on and mouse rightclick yields nothing04 Jan 2007 16:26 GMT3
I have windows XP home edition and none of the icons appear on launch.
After booting it briefly flashes the task bar at the bottom (Start
button, etc) but that is it.  My background image appears and I can
bring up the task manager with ctrl-alt-del.  From there I can launch
