I have sound for everything on my computer except when I play a dvd. Have not
uninstalled anything. I have a dell dimension E520, microsoft windows xp
version 2002.

i was using fire fox.  the computer started acting funny, so i uninstalled
ff.  now IE wont autocomplete or remember previous web site logins.  why not?
what did  i change to make this stop auto complete? and how do i fix it?  i
have gone into IE, tools, I options and made sure  ...

Inadvertently deleted most windows fonts. How can I retrieve them please

Reinstallation using Gateway's red and blue (drivers and OS) CDs.
The red CD also contains hardware tests. All passed before reinstallation
was attempted.

I made changes to an excel file and saved them.  I then realized that I
needed the original contents.  Is there any way I can retrieve the original
information?

   I am using Windows XP Professional SP2. I have a Dell Latitude D600
laptop and have added a NEC LCD screen as a second monitor and used the
"Extend My Windows Desktop onto this Monitor" feature. I seem to have a
problem when I undo this feature.

While open dialog box from a web, the itms are sorted by names.
How to sort those items by date, as default?

I have an old HP computer that had XP pre loaded and did not come with a
restore disk.  The computer has a lot of junk on it and I would like to do a
clean install of XP.  I have the XP license key, but how can I get a disk to
complete the task?

I have a Dell PC with a Maxtor SATA 160GB hard drive that has crashed.
I bought twp 80GB Seagate drives. I was able to install the hard drives
using the Seagate Disc Wizard utility. The system can see both hard
drives but does not recognize the CD or DVD drive and I get an error

Is there any way to retrieve emails that have been deleted?  I use a yahoo
