Is this service necessary on a stand-alone computer connected to the

My computer has been acting more slowly lately, but intermittently.  For
example, when I do a virus scan with Norton Antivirus, the time needed by
the scan will vary between 1 hour and 5 hours, and I'm not using the

I know how to make a folder open in whatever view I wish.  I also know how
to apply this view to ALL folders.  What I need is a way to make folders
that have nothing in them EXCEPT .jpg files--pictures, that is--to open in

I have a laptop. First problem- the left clicker beneath the trackerpad
stopped working. So I've reassigned the left click to the right click.
2nd problem-Now when I click the reassined right button on the tracker pad I
get the right menu sometimes, though things like hyperlinks ...

How much of a problem do I have here?
The scan completed without any error messages.  But when I looked at the

We have a new computer setup at work with multiple user accounts. Are we able
to log off all users and still have the computer running or will computer
shutdown? One of the user accounts is the Admin account. Trying to make sure
that only the users listed can log on to computer.

Recently I had to reinstall XP Hm.  As a result only SP1 came along.
Went to MS's dwnld site (Icon continues to say current version of XP is not
updated).
I executed a dwnld and install.  Dwnld was fine (75mB).  Install hung up

Did it work?
(You know that service that says it alerts you of incoming call when
online with your dial up.)
