Tried to search for a know entry in my XP (SP2) registry.  Failed !!!
Just wondering if the searches in the registry are case sensitive ??
Also, I used *.* at the end of the name.  Use it or drop it ???

The default page in IE6 that comes up when I type a bad URL is now something
I don't like.  How do I change it back to just show "Page not found"?

I just went into my user accounts and found an account "asp" limited,
password protected. Never seen it before, can anyone tell me where it
came from? should I just delete it?

The only network adapter that my computer has is a Broadcom NetXtreme 57xx
Gigabit Controller. Can anyone confirm if this is, or is not, a wireless
adapter??
If it is not then I will need to install one.

I'm missing the Internet Time tab on the Date and Time Properties when I
click on the clock.
I have XP Pro SP2.

I have read that in windows xp the" system state "is the registry  .If I go
to regedit and backup the registry it takes up about 100Mb of disc space. If
I then use the windows backup and backup the system state it uses about
450Mb. I don`t understand what is going on! Can someone ...

I am trying to record using the sound recorder. It seems to record ok, but
when I play the file back, I can just barely hear it even with my speakers
turned up as loud as they will go. Also, and this might be part of the

Windows XP Explorer.
When folder list is open on the left and folder contents on the right.
Selecting folder on left pane automatically expands left pane subfolders and
closes when opening the next folder .

i am trying to create a new windows xp installation CD for my notebook PC
just in case i need to reimage it. i am not making a dirrect copy of it
though. the new windows installation CD will have special drivers and
updates on it on it so that i will not need multiple restore CDs ...
