My Media Centre crashes every time I load it. I can only guess that the
.exe has corrupted in some way.
Anyone care to help me out with how to re-install it?
I have the orginal XP MCE disc from Dell.

I have two sound cards in a PC and they both work fine. I can go into Control
Panel - Sounds and Audio Devices - Audio and select one of them under Sound
playback - Default device and then all Windows sounds and music are output
through the selected sound card.

I'm unable to find a way to format a CD. It used to be on the pop-up menus,
now it's gone.

How can I view the files in a backup disk?  The program tech tells me the
disk is corrupted, but I have reasons to doubt this.  I just ran the disk
through the trial version of Badcopy (a disk recovery suggested by Microsoft
Support Group)  and it tells me the disk is fine now.  ...

I've been using a picture viewer (VuePrint) for many years.  Today, I
started getting errors saying a certain picture's memory could not be read
at a certain memory location.  I uninstalled the program and reinstalled.  
The probelm sees to have gone away.

Why? I cleared all temp files. I hav no spyware, malware, viruses, etc.

A White square has suddenly appeared on my desktop. I have tried changing the
backgrounds but the square stays :( It doesn't affect any boxes opened on top

Trying to fix a computer running XP SP2 with a usb port problem.
When I plug a USB flash drive/pen drive into any USB port the computer
sees it (i.e. an icon appears in the toolbar) but when I open MS
Explorer the drive does not show up at all.

Its a Microsoft product (I think) but I don't know where or when I got it
and whether I need to keep it.  Can anyone tell me how to figure it out?  I

Please excuse if this question got posted twice.
We have a workstation that we can’t get NetMeeting to activate.  It SEEMED
to install just fine.  So we uninstalled it using recommended command line
%SystemRoot%\System32\rundll32.exe setupapi,InstallHinfSection NetMtg.Remove
