I have an icon on my desktop called winsockxpfix.exe and i cannot delete it.
I kepp getting the message this program is in use and cannot be deleted.. Any

I am using norton internet security and have accidently allowed a program
internet access. the outbound address 66.220.17.154 is a search site. I
cannot find this in my firewall config programs to remove it. Can anybody
advise me on how to stop this from accessing the internet.. ...

I use the singe-pane view in Windows Explorer (XP SP2). When
I double click a folder in Windows Explorer I no longer get
a display of the folder's contents. Instead, the Search
Results window opens. How do I get back to the old behavior?

What should the BIOS settings be for the addition of a new hard drive as a
slave drive to the master drive? Current settings are : First Boot Drive --  
Removable Devices. Second Boot Drive -- ATAPI CD-ROM Drive. Third Boot
Drive -- Hard Drive. Fourth Boot Drive -- Network Boot. ...

2 or 3 times I have found the Start-Run pick list has vanished.  Is this
normal?
I don't clear caches.  I've found no memory problems after testing all
night.  Similar for my HD (for shorter time).

Tools->Internet Options->Custom Level...and there are 5 or 6 options
that one can enable that have "scripting" in them.

Is there any way to get a full listing of all files on the system
that includes the full file name (ie. full path) , size, and date
similar to Unix's "find -ls" ??
"dir /a/s" gives a full listing, but files (without path) are listed

After installing a new slave drive the boot up was okay but I can not see
the new drive with Explorer. Also,Settings>Control Panel>Administrative
Tools>Computer Management>Disk Management does not display the new drive. Is
there changes I should make in the BIOS?
