Is there a way to open a program one level lower? By this I mean when I attempt to open a document in: i.e. Word, or Excel or others, I am presented with the entire list of my file locations, instead of just the relevant ones for that program. Would just save a step, and a hunt!

Which back-up files can I safely remove after updating to SP-2? I know there are a bunch of them taking up HD space, but don't know which ones to delete. Also, is it necessary to boot into Safe mode to remove them? Thanks for any help,

Repeatedly when attempting to download a fresh copy of something a previously deleted copy will get ressurrected and the download declared finished when in truth it was aborted and I'm stuck with the possibly bad file.

I'm trying to remove a program I use frequently: XaraXtreme Pro. Unfortunately, the program is not listed in Add|Remove programs!? I checked the registry and did not see the program in there either. (But I did to my amazement see a lot of alphanumeric entries surrounded by {}

I just put some additional RAM into my system. When I go into systems this information now reads: "physical memory 511.48, available memory 248.81". What does this mean. Must I put some additional information into the system so that it recognizes both as available?

In C:\Documents&Settings\computer\Local Settings\ there is a "temp" folder with 20 or so "XML" files that seem to be related to Internet Explorers blocking of popup windows. I use Firefox exclusively. Can these files be safely deleted ?
