My son-in-law has XP Pro which did not hold anything but the Administrator log-in when installed (so he tells me). The name was set by the PC supplier (Dell I think). The 3 grandchildren have between them done something which has stopped

Recently, when I go to a new window, occassionally the window does not have a "back" button and when I X out the window I lose all previous windows. As long as there is a "back" button I am ok. What has happened and how do I correct it?

I'm sorry if this is very basic and/or extremely simple! When I open any folder in XP Home, some of the files are in black type and others are in blue. Date,size and type do not appear to make any difference.

For some unknown reasons, one file (letter on words) which was properly legible turned out one day completely illegible ....the words replaced by little square all over the page.....Pls help to correct.

Had a power failure at the house this morning. When power resumed, I found three blinking green LEDs on my keyboard. They were CAPS LOCK, NUMBER LOCK, and SCROLL LOCK. When I went to draft an email, I couldn't type in the text or address area.
