Using Win XP Pro SP2 1. Is there any way to permanently disable the dialog box "What do you want Windows to do?" which usually pops up whenever you connect removable data storage? (ie. data cds or dvds; flash storage etc)

My problem is simply this: On my desktop, all the words beneath all the desktop icons are highlighted. (Left-clicking the mouse does no good.) How do I get rid of the highlighting? Thanks in advance for any aid. StopGap

Are the free speed test of any value? Several tests have been run and they indicate my speed is less than 10% of what it should be. A recent full virus scan indicates I an virus free. Also, can not delete any mistakes I make in typing this text. Sorry for the mistakes.

I have been clearing out duplicated files; now when I startup I get this message, "16 Bit Windows SubSystem, C:\windows\system32\autoexec.nt. This system file is not suitable for running ms-dos and microsoft windows applications. Choose close to terminate the application".

On my MSN.com homepage, and other sites I get onto, most of the text is very small and garbled to the point of not readable. Someone told me to erase all the cookies, but that did not make any difference. What should I do?
