I ran SiSandra and one of the suggestions was that I should cache the
BIOS.  I went into the board "setup", but could not find any reference to
caching the BIOS.  
Does someone have an idea where I might find the setting, and secondly,

Having received a "corrupt user" message and using the KB Article 811151, I
set up a new user via the control panel "User accounts".  When I came to
transfer files from corrupt user to new user, I found the corrupt ones, but
could find the new user file to paste them to.

A couple of days OK the start up process on my PC changed (without my
conscious input) and went from the normal XP start up process to what looks
like the Win 2000 process with a text box for user and none of the XP icons.
Can anyone help me solve this?

I know, something that should be simple. But got some reason I can't set a
picture or anything as my background. It won't let me select anything in the
Desktop properties tab. All I can do is change the friggin' color.

I run IE 6.0.
We have in the customization screen :  Tools / Internet Options / General /
History / Days to keep pages in History.
We can insert there all figures correspondent to the days we want to keep

Is there a way within any XP colour scheme to change the colour (or
contrast) of the moving part of the scroll bars?  I use the silver colour
scheme including a grey background as this is best for the eyes when working
with Photoshop.

Using Win XP Home, on Dell computer, when signing into IE6 or MSN premium,
neither will start as long as MacAfee, or Norton anti-virus is running, also
intermittent with firefox. I take out the anti-virus software and it starts
ok.  Any ideas.

Clicking on Update Now button in Windows Clock>Internet Time tab does update
but NOT to the current time.

I am trying to delete some accounts but everytime i go to do this the egg
timer stays on and then sticks. I t is as though the page freezes, then the

Some how, when people are sending me emails, an auto response message is
being sent back to them saying I'm reading my emails at the time. How do I
turn that off?

Can anyone help. I think this is an easy problem to solve, but i can't
remember how.
I have an open window but i cannot maximise it enough to get to switches at
the bottom of the page, which are out of sight. So i cannot "enter" the
