I have a huge problem with Windows XP. Suddenly some directories is
unavailable. I dont know why and I´m using the same user as when I created
the directories.
When I try to use them this messages shows:

Hi, I have just had to do a repair install on XP which seemed to go ok.
However, I now get a very odd page scroll using mouse or keyboard. the page
seems to refresh in a wave from top to bottom or vise versa, depending on

When deleting desktop icons from one user desktop they are removed from all
user desktops.  How do I avoid this?

Why use hyperterminal if it is unsafe to connect to other computers, and to
use the commands one would have had to start using computer before Graphical
User Friendly became the norm. I am asking this question to try to understand

Is there any way to make a full screened DOS program _not_ run half
screen?
No matter what font I select it only fills the top half of the screen.

I was on Freeserve and have changed to B.T. Broadband.  Each time I start
the computer and try to go on the internet I get the message unobtainable
etc. I then shut down the computer, pull out the mains plug and use a metal
plate to short out all the plug pins.  Put the plug back ...

I have a system with windows xp pro sp2 in my office (connected to

1. Run is not showing up

support people gave me a list of things to delete and registry changes to be
made. Among their suggestions was to back up the registry before I deleted
