I have a huge problem with Windows XP. Suddenly some directories is
unavailable. I dont know why and I´m using the same user as when I created
the directories.
When I try to use them this messages shows:

When I insert my memory card into my PC to copy pictures I have to open my
computer and click on Removable disk :E to access the media stored. I used to
be able to just insert the memory card and a wizard would pop up asking me
what I wanted to do, this wizard no longer pops up. ...

Hi, I have just had to do a repair install on XP which seemed to go ok.

When deleting desktop icons from one user desktop they are removed from all
user desktops.  How do I avoid this?

Why use hyperterminal if it is unsafe to connect to other computers, and to
use the commands one would have had to start using computer before Graphical
User Friendly became the norm. I am asking this question to try to understand
AND learn what I may not be aware of. Maybe ...

Is there any way to make a full screened DOS program _not_ run half

I was on Freeserve and have changed to B.T. Broadband.  Each time I start
the computer and try to go on the internet I get the message unobtainable
etc. I then shut down the computer, pull out the mains plug and use a metal
plate to short out all the plug pins.  Put the plug back ...

At present I only have two users set up - my passworded user account
which is an admin account, and Guest.
We're always advised not to use an Admin account all the time, just a

Question:  I am having a problem with a piece of Sony software. Their
support people gave me a list of things to delete and registry changes to be
made. Among their suggestions was to back up the registry before I deleted
