IN Windows XP Pro when I start Explorer, in the Folder list,I used to find "My Documents" following the entry "My Computer" - Now I find "My Documents" after the last drive (E:) as below:

Windows XP Home SP2. I have a CD/DVD read and a CD/DVD read/record on my Compaq PC but I cannot play movie VCD and DVD with these two. Do I need to install a special program for that? Thanks for any input.

I am running XP Pro SP2 and have installed a printer which is connected via a USB cable. The printer works fine. But every time I switch on the printer XP says it has found new hardware and launches the Hardware Setup Wizard. How can I stop this happening?

Using XP-Media Edition and Office 2003 I have recently started seeing some unusual folder names on my local drive and the file inside the folder is equally as unusual. The folder name is 0e54c2763c7b901636b7c67a7d7843 and contains one file.

Standby is grayed out. Hibernate does not appear in shut down window. I won't have much use for hibernate - that can wait - but need to get standby working as soo as possible. Thanks in advance for your suggestions.

Hi, I want to save all my files and settings to an external hard drive so I can wipe my computer and re-load windows. Is the file transfer wizard the best way to do this? Does the wizard just copy the files and settings or are they actually removed from the old computer? ...
