For some reason, now when I right click on tif files in windows I'm getting
a pop up box that states;
Explorer. Tif:corrupt file.
This applies to all tif files on all drives.

my pc had xp pro on it and i ran into problems so i backed up the
drive on an external drive.
i had to reformat the computer and install xp home edition as the
other disk is lost.  The home edition has not got backup on it and

For some reason the address box on the bar at the top of my window has
decided to move itself so far over to the right side of the screen that the
box is gone. All I can see is "address". Can someone remind me how to fix

Hi I have opened a word attachment in outlook, and after filling in
document, i saved it, but not save as.
i can see it is in temp internet files, olk, when trying to save as, i can
see the document, but when go to file temp internet files, nothing is

I can't find the ScanDisk utility that used to be in older versions of
Windows.  What has replaced it in Windows XP?

After reinstalling windows xp home edition the numlock key will not turn ON
when I boot up and I cant figure out how to get it to turn on automatically
when I reboot the machine.  Can someone help please

According to WU, the above update was installed successfully. But it
does not show up in my list of updates (in Add/Remove Programs).
The update did, however, leave a folder with an enu.log file. There is
no indication that the update failed, as far as I know.

Is there anyplace where one can view samples of all the fonts included in
XP? The process of going through the fonts alphabetically via Control Panel
seems like a "hard-way" approach.  Running a search didn't give me any quick
solutions, but I'm sure someone, sometime, has ...

I'm on my 3rd computer now.  The first one had 256MB of memory and about
half of it was in use just sitting there running Windows 98 and a few
programs.  The 2nd computer had 512MB of memory and about half of that

Hello all. Does anyone fancy a challenge? My problem at the moment
manifests itself when the icons begin to appear on the screen towards
the end of the boot up process. The blue screen of death kicks in with
