I accidently dragged a program (not a Shortcut) from All Programs in the
Start Menu to my Desktop and I want to move it back to All Programs.

 I have a friend who has forgotten his Windows sign on Password. He has now
tried for over a week he said to recall it, but apparently has no clue.
 I have never used a Windows sign on Password, so I do not have a any idea
how he can rectify this problem.

I was having problem with my VS.NET and IIS, so I uninstalled IIS.
Now, I need to re-install it (and hopefully the problem will be
resolved).  But when I go to add/remove components.  It asks for CD.

When I try to boot my computer, it can't find the boot media and so it

Hello all. Quick and easy question I bet...
When I choose to check a non-system hard drive for errors where does the
results log end up? It is not the "winlogon" in the Application log, I know
that much. That seems to be used to record results for the boot drive scans

For no apparent, no obvious reason, on a purely RANDOM basis, my  Gateway
GT5220 w/AMD 64 X2 Dual Core RESTARTs.  OS is XP-MCE.  The machine is about
3 months old.

when i connect to the internet with diual up connection the connection icon
appear in the taskbar but my IE can`t go to any site. no proxy and ... every
thing ok but is dosen`t work. and my laptop taskbar icon not completly

All of a sudden hyperlinks in my emails are not active. I click on them and
nothing happens. I have to copy and paste into browser. Is there a setting I
must toggle??

This is the error:

I regularly run Disk Cleanup but it leaves a lot of files in
windows\temp.  None of these seem to have been accessed since last
December (when I transferred a lot of files onto the computer).

I'm using WinXP HE.  The background on my desktop is a putrid orange with
lettering across the screen.  My desktop icons are visible.  I cannot change

)this laptop is shipped with no ms operating system(win xp home edition
herein.) how can i partition and format the drive to install win xp home
