When restarted in safe mode, windows MCE adds an actual "Administrator"
account that requires a password. How do I determine what the password is?
I've tried leaving it blank as well as using "Admin", "admin",
"Administrator", and "administrator", but none of them work.

I've heard that MS recommends letting Vista run with as few shutdowns as
possible. I use my present XP computer twelve hours a day and then turn it
off for the night. So twelve hours on, twelve hours off. Will not my next
Vista computer age twice as fast if I leave it on 24/7?

I have tried several attempts to get ride of this message. It appeares when
I try to view web pages on my own PC. It concerns active X. Just cannot find
the right spot to dissable.

every time I open a word document, my computer asks me "do you want to revert
to the saved 'document'".  How can I get rid of that prompt?

I have a clip utility on another system that I need on XP.  Does it
exist?
With one click it merely appends a dated text clip to a prenamed text
file that can later be searched, edited, copied, etc., easily.  I keep

recently, when I try to open a Word document it opens up with Windows Picture
and Fax Viewer instead of Word.  I then have to go back and right click the
document and select "Open With" and choose Microsoft Word.  How can I fix
this problem?  It just started happening.

I have inserted a pyramid diagram from the Diagram Gallery into a Word
document.
I need to rotate the pyramid, but neither the nudge tool nor the rotate
option from the Draw menu is available. Please advise.

My Windows XP Home Edition was acting a little screwy and in an attempt to
fix it I tried reinstalling it. Now it's stuck at the "Installing Windows"

tried using Adobe Gamma to lighten things, and that works -- but only until I
turn the computer off.  When I restart, the display is dark again.  What can

grandaughters account and work but not into her mother's account which is the
