During boot up, I always get a message that the paging file is missing. I have reset it to different sizes and also set it to have Windows manage it but I don't think it makes any difference. Is there a way to repair it or reinstall it?

I would like to have the ability to connect and use an external USB connected HDD on either a Win98SE machine or a WinXP Pro machine, not shared and not at the same time. (Use it as a large file transfer device - hook to one and then to the other.)

Every time I try to delete a photo in My Pictures, it copies the picture and it appears in My Pictures as "copy of". How do I stop this?

I am trying to load SP2 and I keep (another program is using this file) system32/cmd.exe . It will not let me access it through run either. How do I get into it or around it Or even find what is useing it, so I can load SP2.

I am able to boot up under recovery mode and view this bad drive. I am trying to copy all of the data over to a new harddrive but under Windows XP pro I do not have all of the dos commands to do this. Any ideas on how to get the data over to the new drive?
