A small app, netmeter, shows a lot of D/L - incoming - activity. Another FW blocked all incoming except permitted ones. Possible to run Zone Alarm, e.g., along with Windows FW, or better to turn the windows one off...

Looking in Event Viewer under Application there were a whole load of warnings about Msinstaller, either 1001 under description "Kenny" (me) or 1004 under description "Network Service". MS says no further info on these errors.
