Can't expand the task bar (but the usual answer doesn't work)11 Jun 2007 17:22 GMT4
I just installed WinXP Home Edition for someone, and applied all the
non-optional updates from the Microsoft site.  But I can't expand the
task bar, at the bottom of the page, upwards.  Yes, I've unlocked it.
If I move it to, say, the right side, I can expand it all I want

programs I don't have a problem installing, and when attempting to download

In working on a laptop computer with Windows XP Professional the
administrator account was changed to a new administrator.  It appears that in
doing that all of the data files, email and email address book were deleted.

I have just installed XP, no problem set up 3 users with a password for the
administrator but not for the other users. No problem booting up, just
selected user ~ no password requested , all OK ~ everything working.

hard drive.  Since I haven't backed up for several months, is there any
method in XP Pro to ship ONLY the songs not already on tne second

          I have turned off automatic updates after I had very bad
experience with them (my Windows froze and I had to reinstall it again -- it
happens twice already).
But still there is the automatic update systray icon, telling me that

I've tried to delete a few files from my computer with no luck.  I've tried
to rt clk and send to recycle bin and McAfee Shredder, but still nothing.

Question on the "Network Connections" folder.
I have two machines, set up essentially identically.  The "Network
Connections" folder on one of them contains only a single icon, "Local Area
Connection".  It is this icon that enables the Browser to operate.

I use the computer to work at home and in the office. I have saved some of
the files in my hard disk and also save they in my USB memory stick as backup.
However, sometimes I forgot to save some new files either in the desktop or

When i try to open a certain web page I get and error message "Object
