Every time I run Disk clean-up, Web Client/Publisher Temporary Files i populated. What application uses these files? (IE6?) And is there a way to turn them off? I imagine it's made up of viewed web pages, not good if it's my onlin

I recently recieved SP2 from Microsoft. When I go to install, the files are extracted and the screen U PDATING YOUR SYSTEM appears. The system says that this could take up to two hours, but I have left the computer on overnight, and the next morning the progress bar hasn't moved. ...

Question on the "Network Connections" folder. I have two machines, set up essentially identically. The "Network Connections" folder on one of them contains only a single icon, "Local Area Connection". It is this icon that enables the Browser to operate.

My friend's dell laptop stops in the middle of the boot and waits until she clicks on her user icon befor finish booting. She is the only one who uses the computer, and her's is the only account on it.

In my windows xp dos prompt, I enter the command netstat -na and found lots of lots of connections to foreign IP address's port 25. But I didn't open any mail sending program so far.

Ctrl key and right click does not select items from lists. When ever I use this keyboard combination it takes me to my home page; ie om the internet. I do nto know how I changed this function and therefore don't know how to change it back.

hope this is the correct group to ask this. I'm looking to upgrade my cpu from 1.7ghz to 2.4 or higher. Does the skt size play a part? I don't have any packaging to find what i have now, have looked at the processor but the wording has come off. It may be 692 or 694. I

Running XP Home, SP2 All of a sudden my DOS-based programs won't run. Their icons are still on the desktop, but when I dbl-click them nothing happes. If I right-click theres no Open option.
