Seems lately, that my pc freezes on occasion, sometimes upon boot, not
a lot, but ocne in a while. Also a few mins ago I was waking up my pc
from sleep mode, I have XP, and the monitor was flickering and I had

Hi I use windows xp and outlook 2003 mainly. all my shortcuts have gone, so
i can not copy (control C) paste (control V) etc etc.
I had installed firefox recently, and then removed it , if this would have
had anything to do with it.

I cannot validate my version of Windows XP. The ActiveX window does not open.
The diagnostic tests do not resolve this. I have tried many things. I do have
the orginal disk that came with my laptop. But will I lose everything if I

I can't get Help and Support to start, either from the start menu or by
directly opening the file

I am trying to setup a backup-script with xcopy like this:
xcopy C:\projects Z:\backup\projecs /D /E /I /Y
But all files are copied each time it is run.  Since /D switch is
given without date then only newer files should be copied, right? What
