Through extensive research and quite a bit of help from this or another XP ng over the last few months, determined that my system came to me corrupted or something as none of the fixes or suggestions resolved the folder view problem I've had from day one on my home computer.

I cannot get RAR, ZIP, or 7z files to associate with any programs (winrar, winzip...), torrent files will not associate with any programs (azureus), and flash will not work, no matter how many times i reinstall. i am the admin on this computer so i dont get whats going

Greetings All. Windows Explorer stops and displays the message Windows Explorer has a problem and is shutting down, whenever I highlight any/all .mpeg2 file. I do not have to try to open (run) the file, just highlight it.

When I open a folder of jpeg pictures, the "common tasks" portion at the left is supposed to say "Picture Tasks"--and it usually does. But quite often it says "Music Tasks". Why is this happening and how do I fix it so jpeg-only folders show picture tasks?
