I bought a new notebooks that came with Windows Vista.  I have an older
notebook that has Windows XP Pro.  I still depend on a few older applications
that do not work on Vista.  I travel alot, and I have been forced to carry
both notebooks with me.

System would always in past do a couple things after a certain amount of
time. Yes, perhaps I unintentionally changed something but I do not know
what.
1. Screen Saver would go on.

I was just in my user accounts expecting to see My name as one user and
administrator is another user, and discover I have a password protected user
account called ASP.net Machine and it doesn't show the last part of it..

When using msconfig I can make changes but on closing even in safemode, I
get an error message saying an error occured and the changes made cannot be
implemented, however they do seem to be.
I also cannot get regsvr32 to remove DLLs.

When opening a jpg file widows picture and fax viewer:
- and the file is on the desktop, it takes 7-9 seconds to open
- and the file is in the "my documents" folder or subfolder, the file takes

My search is gone.  I go into Explorer and press the Search button.
The button depresses, but nothing happens.
How so I get my search back, please?

I've been having trouble lately with Program Windows just Disappearing.   It
still appears in the taskbar "as if" it's minimized but when you select it
in the taskbar it does not pop up.  It happens with different programs that
still show up in the task manager as well.

I am trying to copy a video tape from my digital camcorder panasonic...I'm
only getting the sound and not the pictures...can someone tell me what I'm
doing wrong...I have the camcorder hooked to the pc with the usb cables
provided with the camera...thanks a bunch

Have a bit problem setting up the users. Get a lot messages saying "you have
no right to access" and so on. I am working as Administrator. Therefore I am
looking for tutorials on the subject. Does anybody about such?
