I tried looking up "domain" in the index of several of my Vista books,

I have Windows XP professional on each of two machines in my study.
They each connect to the Internet through an Ethernet mini switch.  I
need to share files.

A while ago I read that Windows XP home has trouble recognizing more that 3
gigs of ram, and recently read that it has trouble recognizing more than 2
gigs.  Is this true, and has the problem been solved?

While doing my usual Windows Update, I chose to download the "Malicious
Software" remover update (this was the first time I chose to accept this
software during the Windows Update process).  Now what?  I can't find any MS
icon or program to run on my desktop, Start Menu or ...

When I use Start -> Search
I get a window with the dog animation, but otherwise blank and no way to do
a search.
This machine has Earthlink software and browser on it, possibly blocking it

My daughter had some problems with her Dell laptop and a friend cleaned it

Sometimes when I boot up the computer and switch the monitor on, the monitor
does not come on. The computer loads up normal and works. I urn off the
computer and try again and some times it works fine and sometimes, the
montior still doesn't turn on. I have to try a fe wmore ...

When I boot my computer all's well
All programs work fine
But after about 5 min I get a error box appearing which says
"Driver fail" and a "OK" button

My system crashed, but I have now reconstituted it on a new hard drive. Just
noticed that I am no longer able to use the "send to an email recipient"
feature. That menu choice has disappeared. What might have caused this, and
how can I get it back?
