I just finished building a new AMD Sempron/Biostar motherboard, 2 gig
ram, got to BIOS, tweaked them and put an upgrade XP Home OS disc in

do I figure out what type of motherboard I have and what other hardware is
installed?  Is there a freeware available or some 'run' commands in XP that

My wife's computer was set up with two user accounts, one for each of us.
I rarely use my account.  Today, I tried using it and discovered a curious
situation while accessing web sites with IE6.

For some reasons, I need to use dial-up connection once for a while. But I
keep encountering the Error 633 message, which says my modem is being used by
another application. However, I cannot identify which application is using
the modem before I can stop it. Please advise.

Hi wondering if anyone culd help with an audio issue. I have recently

When you click Start->Search, a screen should pop up that allows you to
search anything.  Instead, when I click the Search button, it just seems to
be "dead".  Any ideas how I can get this fixed so I can search my files once
