OK, I have an annoyance here that I am dying to clear up.  When I go into a
program and then go to open a file the file list that pops up in the default
window has the files listed by "most recently created" by default.  This is

I know windows has  short cut so that you dont have to type .com at the end.
Instead one can do something else but i can remember what that is. I looked
in the help section but cant find it or maybe i missed it there. If someone

I have been scanning the media player page for an answer to this problem to
no avail I am trying to burn a cd in mp11 but all I get on my burned disk is
a list of shortcuts to the files, anyone know what I'm doing wrong.

On my laptop (HP) anything that I delete from the desktop, never leaves the
screen until I right-click & press the refresh button. Anyone know if there

XP pro to, well, XP Pro.

In a post below I wrote about trying to get the long date to show in the
systray instead of the short date.  Somehow, fiddling with regional settings
etc. ,  now the clock is gone and the option in start menu options to "show
clock" is greyed out.  Help!

I hope this is the sort of thing this group would be interested in.  I
use windows media player to play various wmv files.  For most of them,
the seek bar works fine allowing movement in either direction.
Bur for some movies, the seek bar does nothing.  The line that shows
