My "Safely Remove Hardware" icon has disappeared from my System Tray.  It is
not in the Hidden Icons grouping.
Can someone advise me as to how to recover this icon.

I know this has probably been answered a million times, but I couldn't find
the answer with a Google search.
I use Eraser.  When I have a file, on the desktop, that I want to move to a

My comuter crashed how do i get XP back on with no disk?  I have the product
code that was on side of CPU.  They didn't ship a recovery disk of any type
or an XP disk. Compaq said they dont have cause computer is over 5 years old.

This is NOT my imagination.  I have a 7 computer network here in my
office.  Suddenly I am finding compuers cannot connect to each other.
When I look for the problem, I find the firewall turned on.

Why doesn't defrag remove the free space between the contiguous files, the
way it used to in earlier OS's  All those tiny free spaces between the
defraged contiguous files just contribute to more/faster fragmentation.  I've
not been able to find anywhere in the defrag ...

Hi, I am running windows xp pro sp2... I can not get the screensave to
activate.. I can preview and change screen savers just fine.. I will
set the minutes for the screen saver to come on (usaly 30 minutes) I
leave the computer on all of the time and the screen saver will not

Is there an easy way to transfer files and settings from win2k to winXP-SP2?
I tried to find an accessory in win2k that was similar to XPs "File and
Settings Transfer Wizard" but didn't have any luck. Even a good tutorial on

I may have a need to use the Files and Settings Transfer option to set up a
new PC (it will be running Vista). I checked the Help and it babbled on
about Serial port (9 pin and 21 pin ports) connections.

I have alot of work to do on my W/XP/Home-SP2 computer using Adobe Photo
Deluxe.  I've had no problems for several years but now tonight, in the
middle of a job I'm getting an error that my "Primary Scratch Drive" is full
