In Local Settings/temp folder I have about 20 files that will not delete
they look like: cteng_1_1_21192796972.dat
I cannot find out what application puts them there or what they do.

I'm using XP SP2.  When I go to My Computer and click on either of my 2
internal drives (C or D), a search window appears instead of the contents of
the drive.  This suddenly happend and I don't like it.  Anyone know how to

I run XP Prof SP2 and Acrobat 7.  When I close Acrobat it still appears in
Task Manager and at present it is using 78,772 bytes of memory.  Why does it
remain in Task manager?

You know the "start" bar on the bottom of the screen?  On the right hand
side are a bunch of icons.  I can use them as short cuts.  BUT HOW DO I
DELETE THEM?

Hey there- I seem to have a problem.  When I hit CONTROL+ALT+DELETE and my
system taskbar comes up, there are no options!  I mean there's no tabs at the
top, and I can't choose to shut down, or choose what processes I end, etc.  I

Windows Defender reports that I have a threat. It won't show what the threat
is but does say it is in the Hosts file.
So I made a copy of the file and told Defender to fix the threat. Here is
