I have scanned all over the forms for information because I can not get
my windows XP pro to recognize my canon Elura 80 mini DV, I have been
all over Canons support site and it says that XP dose not need nor does

Suddenly, for the last couple days, Internet Explorer, which I don't use,
has started asking, several times a day, to get on the internet.
Fortunately my firewall catches it.  Some website tried to run it recently
and I refused it.  Could a website change the IE settings?

A new (one month) dell computer Inspiron 530.
It came with XP Home edition. Worked fine.
The Windows op. system was fully updated.

Can anybody vector me to a discussion of this issue here or on any other
newsgroup? I've searched for quite a while on-line and there seems to no
conclusive solution. Apparently even reinstalling WinXP does not
guarantee a cure. This problem has existed since 2001! Most vexing!

have a asus laptop and installed a 2nd monitor. open up windows media player
and drag it to the 2nd monitor and all works well untill about 10 min`s later
the asus laptop screen goes black and you cannot use any keys, the mouse etc
but the 2nd moniter still works with the pointer ...

With Vista home basic, I am unable to set up a wireless conection to
internet via a router. I have tried very many  config setttings,
matching addresses in router and PC, wireless accesss good, connection
