I have a dell inspiron 6000 laptop.
recently re-installed OS due to hard disk problems. worked much better.
I then added 2 GB of memory - upgrading from 500MB.
when I try to hibernate - it fails reporting that there are not enough

Under what circumstances do programs get installed but don't
appear on the "Add/Remove" list or the "Start>All Programs"
list?
I see a few of these when I examine my hard drive with

On my other PC, Control / Alt /Delete , followed by Enter will lock
the WindowsXP (Pro).
However on this PC (also running WindowsXP Pro) it doesnt.
Also no password is required on this PC either (Yikes!)

I have a laptop that is part of a Workgroup.

I have a printer shared on the PC.
The laptop can't see the printer on the PC.

My XP computer suffered a burned mother board so I have a new one that has
Vista installed, I saved my old 120 GB C: hard disk from the old computer. I
have been able to save and transfer all my working files but I am not able to
find where do my old e-mails are in the old HD, if ...

My hard drive is partitioned into 4 volumes - C, D, E, F.  Drive C, the
smallest at 5 GB, is getting full.  Can I move the WINDOWS directory to one
of the other larger partitions and will that new location be recognized?

I place a DVD chess program into the D Drive and the disc just keeps spinning
round. The computer looks as though it is reading it but does not install it.

Trying to create a new folder.
When I open say My Documents and right click in an open area I do not see
the Create Folder option in the box that pops up.
