I am running Win XP with an HP 2110 printer which prints everything with no problems. But when a friend sent a scanned item only a blank page printed. How do I get scanned pages sent via email to print?

When I crash, the reboot goes automatically through a (prolonged) disk check for errors. The screen tells me that I can cancel this at any time, but I have not been able to find out how to cancel it. (eg. esc doesn't work). What should I do?

The frame of my Windows Task Manager has disappeared. This is the blue part with the min, max, and close buttons on the top right. This whole part has disappeared. The rest of the Task Manager is still there. Without the buttons I can't close the Task Manager.

I recently installed SP3 (well, ok, the RC2 'Refresh' version) Today when I checked Windows Update ('custom' option), I discovered to my horror that the 10 'optional' updates normally parked there which I shun (including .NET 3.0, .Net 3.5, etc) were no longer being offered.
