I have Windows XP and for a week my computer will not shut down
properly..only manually..
When I go to the start menu to shut down..it goes into end program now..and

Someone gave me a DVD disk with several mov movie clips.
Under WXP PRO SP2, when I double click on any of the mov files
to play it, I get an error message saying it wants Quicktime, which I
do not have,  and it bombs.  I do have VLC media player v0.8.6, and it

I built my PC from a kit of parts and installed an OEM copy of XP. At the
same time I bought a Wireless Optical Desktop set. I had some early problems
getting the PC up and running, but it is now 98% good. The two problems

I removed a partition from my hard drive
and then replaced the files
that had been in the partition.
