Computer Management "Access is denied" - HELP15 May 2008 02:33 GMT1
I right click on "My Computer"
and click "Manager",
then a dialog box prompr "Access is denied"
However, I can open the Computer Management in the Administrative Tools in

I removed Netgear Storage Central Manager from my system.
When I rebooted it just cycled around the "failed to start" screen.
Choosing last good configuration or safe mode doesn't have any effect.
Netgear support have been absolutely useless.

I go to Windows Update to check for available updates.
I am told that SP 3 is "Downloaded; ready to install."
Three attempts to install SP 3 have all met the same failure: the progress
bar shows three green blocks, and then locks up.

In  certain folder of mine.... All the files and folder have
extension .bd.ren . Thus if it is an image file its extesnion is

I understand how to type:  shutdown -s    to automatically shutdown the
computer but my question is how to do this using windows scheduler?  I can
get the scheduler to launch the command line utility but then how do I get it
to automatically enter my "shutdown -s" command?

I know that IE 6 is still on my computer because it comes up when I
click on Windows Update, BUT
after installing sp3 the shortcut vanished and I cannot find IE when I
look via Explorer.
