For several years I had the entire Norton secuity system installed on
my computer and I removed it because it made everything work slower.
Then I had the free AVG anti-virus program on but was afraid that it

I have had this issue with several Windows XP workstations.
Whenever I plug in a external storage device like a thumb drive, it assigns
a drive letter that is already in use by a mapped drive.  I can go in and
manual change it but the next time I plug it in, it does it again.

I purchased and installed an Upgrade version of Windows XP Home on an
old desktop PC several years ago. I've since removed the hard drive
and retired that old PC to the local recycling station. I would like
to upgrade my laptop that came with Windows 2000 Pro with this XP Home

My DVD-ROM is showing as disabled.  I go to the device manager and there is a
red "X" for that drive.  I roght click on the drive and the only choice I
have is to "disable".  How can I enable this drive?

The autoplay feature seems to have stopped working on a computer.
Autoplay is enabled for all drives including the fixed drives (according to
Tweak UI).

Ok i know that this is an easy fix- but i dont remember the remedy. My task
