Several months ago I replaced Norton (by Symantec) with McAfee.
I went to Start > Control Panel > Add or remove programs and removed
Norton and Symantec applications.
Yesterday while cleaning up temporary files, I discovered that my hard

I have a Dell 8100, IE7 and added all kinds of stuff to igoogle. Now I want
to undo all that I did there but can't find any way of deleting it.  How can
I do this?  I use Google and Gmail, and I'd like to keep those.  Thanks.

I was going to buy Word 2000 then I noticed that Wordpad comes with XP and
is very similiar.
Anyone know if and how I can add 'line dividers' (separate sections) like in
Word 2000 (Under the 'Insert' menu). Also, I know that I can align 'bullets'

I recently installed Service Pack 3 on my Windows XP Pro computer.
Since then the Windows Explorer Search Function does not work properly
When I click start - search - all files and folders - the search box
comes up properly.

my system is a Dell Dimension 4700C with Windows XP Professional SP2.
I recently upgraded to SP3 via download from a microsoft site. The reinstall
cd that came with the system is for SP2. Do I need a reinstall cd for the
SP3, should I find it necessary to do a reinstall - as I did ...

My computer re-starts on it's own about 1 to 2 seconds after shutdown. This
only happens if I have been using the stand by. When I use the shut down
AFTER it restarts and before I have ever used "stand-by"; it will then shut
down normally. Can anyone help? and thanks

Is it safe to delete all files I find in C:\Windows\Temp ?
How about the Corecomp.ini files that are in several folders named
similarily to _ISTMP1.DIR  ?
I have almost eighty folders named with a ten digit number starting with 121

I have Win XP Home SP3. In one of the folders I'd like to delete, there is a
.png file, which, I suppose is corrupted: I cannot open it, rename or
delete. I rebooted in the Safe mode, tried to take ownership of this file to
no avail... It sits there unmovable.

Using Windows XP SP3.  Recently on every boot up process I receive the
following message -- "F1 key to continue; F2 to run setup utility".  Pressing
F1 completes the process normally.  What must I do to get rid of this message.

I am trying to upgrade my ram in my laptop. I got a 1 gig stick per
manufacture recomendations. I installed it per requirements and windows wont
boot after it installed it, but i put the old one in it works fine? Any
sugestions? am i missing a file??
