I removed a HD with Windows XP from an eMachine <A> and wanted to install it
on another eMachine <B> running Win XP. So, I removed HD from machine B, set
jumpers on disk A to master, connected, but computer could not find it.
How can I install this disk A on machine B?

I receive the following error, below,  [or whatever] at least 4 times/day w/a
reboot needed most of the time...How do I fix this so I'm not being

I just installed the Service Pack 3.5 update.  Does this replace all the other
Service Packs I currently have listed in my programs ie: SP 2, SP 3?

I want to backup my standalone's o/s to a diferent physical harddrive on the
machine, with the priority being on simplicty and actually being able to
re-install when the o/s goes bad, or won't boot, a year or two from now.

When I started my PC this evening it started up as soon as I turned on
the power strip switch, so I never even pressed the on off button. It
started with a dark screen and ran through some configuration stuff,
and I pressed F1, and then it started normally.

This from going to Control Panel and trying to open "Windows Firewall."
That after it told me that "no firewall is set, "click here", yada yada.
