My daughter is using Internet explorer 8 on her laptop and has a problem printing her email out. It loses the right side of the page. I tried it on my computer with IE 6 and have the same problem. I have no problems printing it using Sea Monkey.

Is it unavoidable that booting in safe mode must change a pile of settings you had in your normal startup configuration? Or has someone just decided to change your settings for you. Thanks

When I first log on to my computer (WinXP SP3), I get a window that comes up on my desktop that says it's the Window's Genuine Advantage Notification. I can click continue to see if my Windows XP is genuine, and if it's not, I can get help on how to get updates, etc.

My system is Windows XP, IE8, processor 1.50 GHz, RAM 1024 MB. My question is Microsoft Outlook was installed on my computer when it was bought refurbished, but when I open the program the login box keeps appearing and reappearing so much it will not let my email download

A friend of mine was impressed with the Dell Inspiron 1010 that I am using so he got one. The problem is everything he types is in French. Can the default language be changed to English?

I just discovered bushels of XML files on my system drive. Does that mean that _something_ actually reads them? If so, what?

Two XP computers at my office are not showing Recent Documents on the start menu. I've followed the instructions given here: http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;307875 but there is no Recent Documents box to tick under the Advanced tab.

Even though I browse with cookies turned off my anti-malware program has been turning up as many as 60 cookies per scan since I went broadband. (Previously I got from zero to maybe 6.) Coincidence? Thanks
