Due to a problem the motherboard was replaced with the
same as it was before: IntelD865PERX (865E Chipset). At
boot up now this comes up first on the screen: Intel (R)
Boot Agent, GE v 1.2.10 PXE 2.1 Built 083 (WfM2.0)RPL

When I press F8 during boot-up on my Notebook computer it will not boot-up
in Safe Mode.
My initial feeling was that there is a F8 keyboard problem, but Fn+F8
toggles the sound on & off to my speaker as normal.

Here lately when I start up my computer (windows xp home
edition) it gives me an error message. (Application has
encountered a problem and needs to close. Sorry for any
inconvenience.) Any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance

Using Norton SystemWorks checkup I get the message that
C:\Windows|System32\MAPISRVR.EXE cannot access gapi32.dll.
So far as I know this has not created a problem.  But I would like to know
what the function of MAPISRVR.EXE and gapi32.dll is.

On XP when I follow the directions to turn on SR I get an error message that one of my drives is turned off. Below on the same screen used to turn SR on/off it says Drive C turned off. Drive C is working fine as far as I can tell. This is the only function not working on my PC. ...

Because my company is going from Windows NT 2000, to XP
Professional, I bought XP Pro for my home computer.  
I "Ghosted" my old "C" drive to a new 120 GB hard drive.  
I then tried loading XP Pro, but it did not overwrite NT

I tried to install sp1 on my wifes computer and at
restart it now goes into a reboot loop. Just reboots over
and over. I can not get to safe mode or anywhere. I did a
repair installation and it now runs but the same thing

My computer has been acting a little strange on startup
recently.  It seems that at some point, the services that
load up on startup, stop loading.  It takes about two
minutes before they finish loading.  

I have windows XP Pro. I had it at home 1) before I had
xp, 2) at school on the domain/networked aspect of XP,

I have a serial port on my system, com1.
I have also a modem COM3 and a phone adaptaor for synchronization COM4.
COM2 seems to be used by a software but which, i don't know.
How can I define what software is using COM2?

Just reloaded windows xp and am getting message
Devcon32.dll cannot be found.  Is there a fix for this?  
There is still no plug and play on this box.  This
computer was upgraded from win ME and is using fat32.

While my programs are loading, I get the following
message:  Runner Error   Invalid Back Web application
ID "1940576"  Where did this come from and how do I get
rid of it?  Thanks
