Quick Launch icons will not show after boot up. Once I
right click on Task Bar and go to properties and check
the Quick Launch, apply, icons then appear on Task Bar,

I just installed a new Western digiital hard drive. Using
their utlity, i formatted the new drive. it locks up all
the time. I noted that the drive is formatted "NTFS"?
instead of fat 32, while my slave drive  is formatted in

I would like to limit the usage of CPU to the amount X percent for a
speciffied application. (that means that when there are no other
applications running, the specified application would use no more than X
percent of CPU power). Is is possible? If yes, than how can I do it.

On my Win XP Pro system I see an Event Log entry that points to
TelnetServer, the entry reads:

Hi  everyone,
I wanted to know what I have to do if I have to replace a motherboard and
CPU, but wanted to keep the hard drive which has my operating system. Would
my operating system go crazy if i had added a new components.  I have

I would like to move the user profiles from c:\Documents and Settings to
other directory/drive (let's say e:\profiles). Is there some safe and "user
friendly" way of doing this. So far I've been doing it by manually editing
the registry but this doesn't seem to safe for me. :-/

I have evidence to suggest that the file notepad.exe is not protected by
Windows File Protection (WFP) in the system32 directory on Windows XP.  If
you move notepad.exe out of the system32 directory into a temporary
directory, WFP does not restore it from dllcache.  It is protected ...
