I have windows XP installed to my laptop. Whatever
program i am trying to install i get the following

When I try to customize some of the items in the Taskbar to "Always show,"
they change back to "Hide when inactive."  Is there any way to make my
changes stick?

I've formated my hardrive seem to have wipped off
everything. Tried to reinstall windows xp which worked up
to a point, the files are in there but the main file or
files for booting seem to be missing. How can I locate and

Upgraded to XP and lost sound! In Device Manager it shows
that no multimedia audio controller is installed. I
reinstalled XP: same problem. Where from can I download

Documents and Settings Folder to my larger F: and not have

I tried to get the update of the Service Pack 1....under
my history of my updates it says that it's not completed -
-- it's "In progress" and I need to restart my computer
to finish it.  I've tried this and it doesnt change it.

I installed an alternative browser (Opera), liked it, and made it the
default browser. Then had second thoughts and uninstalled it.
Now when I click on a link in, for example, an OE newsgroup message, nothing
happens.
