I am running Windows XP Home Edition.  I keep getting an error message that

okay i came home last night to find my computer crashed,
blue screen. i hard restarted it and skipped checkdisk
(shoulda run it) and windows wouldn't load. so i
restarted and let checkdisk run. after running and fixing

Any guesses would be much appreciated.
I have a computer that has no problem receiving email with or without
