I want to use the standard Microsoft Help and Support in XP but have a Dell
laptop and they have replaced it with a version of there own where they mix
up where to find anything!
Please how do I get the satnadard one instead?

I don't know what I did, but you know when you open up "My Computer" There
are 3 or more "Categories" of items to view. One is FILES STORED ON THIS
COMPUTER, another is usually HARD DISKDRVES, and another is DEVICES WITH
REMOVABLE STORAGE, then OTHER.

Howdy all.  I'm looking for a way to setup a user account in Windows XP
Professional so that it will ignore (disregard, override, or what have
you) the desktop shortcuts placed on that user's desktop courtesy of the
"All Users" desktop folder.  Any thoughts?

Hello, I just need technical help, here's my problem, my OS is Windows XP

System Restore to get rid of a pesky trojan horse virus (and I did

I just installed an NVidia 5700 LE AGP graphics card on my WIN XP Home SP2
computer, and now when I attempt to set my screensavers, the colors are not
correct.  Also, when I preview certain XP Plus! screensavers, my system
automatically shuts down.  Can someone help me fix this ...

I think I messed up big time.
I deleted a profile that said the owner was unknown, and although I can
still log in etc, everything is gone.  
Is there anyway to get my data back?  And no, system restore is turned off.

I have a "generic" computer that was built by a local computer shop. It has
an Aseus motherboard with the nVidia integrated devices. I've got an AMD
1.80 Ghz processor, 512 MB RAM and of course the usual hard drives,

I've been noticing a problem get progressively worst - the time after bootup
which I can start using WinXP.  The actual boot up is not that bad, and I

I have several WinXP PCs, and on a few of them, but not all, I can't
remove certain icons on the desktop or Start Menu unless I'm logged in
as Admin.
I don't know where this setting is to change it. Can anyone help me?

I need to trim the garbage out of my Windows directory.  Does anyone
have a list of the subdirectories that are required for Windows
operation?
I'm using SP2 now.  But the garbage has been building up since XP.

This recently started. No matter which Screen Saver I select, it won't kick
in at the designated amount of time. Can this be fixed? Thank you.
